Cultivar originating in England at the beginning of 20th century. Starts producing very early; trees with vigorous upward growth. Very productive. Large-size fruit with yellowish flesh, elliptical shape, violet-red colour and suitable for transport. Freestone. Subject to late drops, making it easier to thin. Can be stored in a refrigerator. Ripens late, about 10 days after the Stanley, on the 10-12th of September.
