Suncrest (yellow flesh peach)

Yellow flesh peach. An American variety obtained in 1974 from a Gold Dust x Alanor cross. Healthy nursery material must be used to obtain plants with good vigour. The plants have a regular, asymmetric growth. Good, high and constant yields can be obtained by pruning the mixed branches, thus saving also on the thinning of the fruit. The fruit is prevalently large size, AA . AAA , rounded and slightly asymmetric. Very firm flesh, suitable for cold storage. The fruit is freestone. Highly regarded for its good taste quality and its adaptability for transformation into fruit juice. Ripening period: 8-12th August.
