Maria Bianca (white flesh peach)

White flesh peach. Variety obtained in Florence in 1980 by Prof. E. Bellini with a Dew Hale x Michelini cross. Very vigorous tree with regular growth form. High production, but sensitive to the cold. Prune thoroughly to avoid production imbalances and cracked or split fruit. Light red colour on 60-70% of fruit surface area; good size constancy, 80-90%, at size AA . A, and excellent taste; freestone. Excellent for its ripening period, 13-15 days before the Redhaven. Highly regarded for its good taste characteristics and good and uniform size in relation to ripening period.
