Appreciated for its fruit which, as well as fresh consumption, is also widely used in the food preservation industry. Vigorous, precocious fruit-bearing tree with good productivity. Bears fruit prevalently on sprigs. Grafts both on to vigorous quinces (preferably with interstock), and Franco stock. Can also be grafted directly on to quince in favourable conditions (fertile sub-acid soils) and in the certainty of having virus-free material. Medium sized cydoniform fruit, with smooth yellow skin; fine, firm, very juicy flesh with a characteristic musk scent. Ripens in the second ten days of August.
