Passa Crassana

Characterised by a good, constant productivity (if thoroughly pruned) and a large, roundish fruit whose whitish flesh has a melting texture and is grainy, sweet, aromatic and resistant to over-ripening; the skin is thick, resistant and yellowish-green when ripe. The tree is of medium vigour and has a high affinity to quince. It is sensitive to apple scab. Good for cold store storage but better for fresh consumption (when harvested). Harvested in the first ten days of October.
