Prefers fertile, permeable, well irrigated and not too calcareous soils, good tolerance to replanting; sensitive to minimum temperatures less than -20°C and some physiopathies ("Agrobacterium t.", lanigerum aphid), but resistant to "Phitophthora" M9 T337 obtained from Dutch NAKB and recently introduced (adjusted clone).
